Pricing & Billing

ARA charges a flat monthly subscription per organization, discounted after the first. Each organization is billed on its own invoice.

Subscription pricing

$199.00 / month for your first organization.

Every additional organization you own is a flat 10% off — the discount doesn't compound, so the second organization and the tenth cost the same:

Only one organization pays the base price at a time. If you cancel or delete that one, the base price moves to your next-oldest organization, which goes from $179.10 to $199.00.

Pricing is per-account-owner, not per user. You can invite as many teammates as you need to each organization using access codes — there are no per-seat fees.

Referral discount

If you refer someone to ARA, or sign up using someone else's referral code, every organization on your account is permanently reduced by 10% — for as long as you're subscribed.

Your referral code is in Account → Your referral code
The discount activates as soon as someone signs up using your code
The discount applies on top of the multi-organization rate
Both you and the person you refer receive the discount

Example: 2 organizations + referral discount:

Base organization: $199.00 × 0.9 = $179.10
Second organization: $199.00 × 0.9 × 0.9 = $161.19
Total: $340.29 / mo, across two invoices

There are no tiers — all features are available to every organization.

NFC cards

We don't sell or ship physical cards — there's no separate charge for them. Organization → Cards has step-by-step instructions for programming your own blank NFC tags with a source's referral link using any NFC-capable phone and a free writing app.

Billing cycle

Each organization has its own subscription, starting the day you create it, and renews on that date each month — so different organizations can renew on different days
Adding an organization charges you for it immediately. Choosing Pay with card on file charges without leaving ARA; we only send you to Stripe if that card declines or your bank asks you to confirm the payment. Choosing Pay with a new payment method always opens Stripe so you can enter a different card
Deleting an organization cancels its subscription immediately and refunds 50% of the unused time left in the period you've already paid for (see Early cancellation refunds)
A price change from gaining or losing the referral discount takes effect at the next renewal

Cancellation

Cancel any time through the billing portal in Account Settings → Billing Portal, or by deleting the organization from your account page. Because each organization is billed separately, cancelling one only affects that organization — the rest keep running. Your data is not deleted.

If the organization you cancel was the one paying the base price, the base price moves to your next-oldest organization.

Early cancellation refunds

If you cancel partway through a period you've already paid for, you get 50% of the unused time back, refunded automatically to your original payment method.

The refund is worked out from how much of the period is left when you cancel:

refund = amount paid  x  (time remaining / length of period)  x  50%

So on a $199.00 organization with a 30-day period:

The half that isn't refunded is an early-termination fee. Cancelling at the end of a period refunds nothing, because there's no unused time left — you simply don't renew.

A few details worth knowing:

The same rule applies whether you delete the organization in ARA or cancel through the Stripe billing portal
Refunds normally reach your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank
Only one refund is issued per period, no matter which route you cancel by
If a subscription lapses because a payment failed, there's nothing to refund

Reactivating is as straightforward as creating a new organization and completing checkout.

Payment & invoices

ARA uses Stripe for all payment processing. You can:

Update your payment method in the billing portal
Download past invoices from the billing portal
See each organization's rate and next invoice date in Account Settings → Billing

ARA never stores your card details — all payment information is handled directly by Stripe.
